Cat Tales, our motto is “Every kitty has a story”, and we have found this to be incredibly true. Sometimes we know the history of a cat in our care, but usually their past is a mystery. Each kitty is treated as an individual, and we pride ourselves in making sure each one is happy, healthy, and comfortable as they adjust to this next chapter of their life. We provide a safe and loving environment where cats can destress, be themselves, and have a happy life while awaiting their forever person. It’s a privilege to watch the kitties blossom and to be a stepping stone for them to find their happily ever after. We adore each cat that comes through our doors and we are honored to be a part of their story.
If you could describe the perfect world, what would it be? For us, it’s life in the Carolinas. The rolling hills, pulled pork barbecue, postcard beaches, rambling rivers, and melt-in-mouth biscuits. Cheering for the Panthers. Or the Hornets. Or the RiverDogs. Of course, we’re most at home near the water. Any water. Sailing off the Outer Banks? Hiking along the French Broad River? Friends weekend on Sullivan’s Island? We’re there. Carolina Brewery stands beside anyone who wants to see what’s out there, to dream big, to make the most of their Carolina Life. For them, we brew benchmark, classic flavors like our Sky Blue Kölsch, Copperline Amber, Fin Chaser Pale Ale, or Costero Lager. Next time you’re preparing for an adventure, big or small, invite us along. Grab a cold six-pack from your favorite beer aisle—or stop in for our timeless Southern cuisine and a pint-sized sample from our brewpub. We’re all in.

Since 1958, The Ackland Art Museum has been one of North Carolina’s most important cultural resources. We serve broad local, state, and national constituencies as a unit of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Museum’s permanent collection consists of more than 21,000 works of art, featuring North Carolina’s premier collections of Asian art and works of art on paper — drawings, prints, and photographs — as well as significant collections of European works, twentieth-century and contemporary art, and North Carolina pottery.
The American Public Gardens Association recognized the North Carolina Botanical Garden for Excellence in Biodiversity and Conservation. The concept of the conservation garden was developed at the Garden in the early 1990s to represent the many conservation-related activities at the heart of the Garden’s mission and programs. This includes propagating native plants to ensure that populations are not damaged by wild collecting, banking seed for reintroduction and protection against extinction, conserving habitats to preserve naturally occurring biological diversity, and creating gardens that display and demonstrate native biodiversity and sustainable gardening practices.
