Private Ceremony

On June 11, 2026, we will exchange vows in a private garden ceremony inspired by our love of English gardens and timeless romance, officiated by our dear friend Emily. We have chosen to begin our marriage in a quiet, intentional way, just the two of us, allowing space to be fully present in this sacred moment. Your love and support mean the world to us, and we cannot wait to celebrate together in 2027.

Meet Cute

Will and Stacey met through their friend Emily Campbell, though their story had been circling for years before they ever spoke. Stacey met Emily through her husband Ben, who serves on the board at Northwest Association for Blind Athletes, where Stacey is Vice President of Programs and Services. Emily and Stacey became business partner's in 2021 when they created Project Wellness together. A community based health and wellness business that provides events and retreats. (Important details for the meet cute) A few years prior to Project Wellness, Emily had worked with Will at Gravitate, where he serves as a Senior Web Developer. Meanwhile, Will and Stacey were unknowingly living parallel lives. They worked a block away from each other for years. They ate lunch at the same Mexican restaurant. Will had even been in Stacey’s office at NWABA, helping build not one but two websites. Same neighborhood. Same lunch spot. Same church for a season. Same orbit. And still, they never actually met. Until Project Wellness. At the first retreat, Stacey stood on stage with a microphone and gave a cheerful shout out to Will, the only gentleman in a room of 120 attendees. Behind the scenes, she admired that he was willing to show up and work on himself. She made that very clear to her friends afterward and may have directly inquired about his relationship status. He was seeing someone at the time, so she moved on. Still, over the next year, he would randomly pop into her head now and then. One year later, as the second retreat approached, Will was not planning to attend. Emily gently insisted. More than once. She told him to come. She also kept pointedly saying, he needs to say hello to Stacey. Around the same time, she told Stacey she had a good feeling about the two of them. (Emily the matchmaker and spoiler... our wedding officiant) At the retreat, Will walked up and gave Stacey a big hug. Secretly, Stacey loved the move. Will remembers being nervous. He remembers Stacey wore pink and had her hair in space buns. He watched her busy body dance her way through the event, everywhere at once, anxiously hoping for a moment to talk. That moment never quite came, because if you know a Gibbins, you know they never sit. (Oh, how Will has learned this to a much deeper level these last few years.) About a week later, on October 24, 2023, Stacey asked Emily to start a group text to connect about the event. Will replied the next day (talk about playing hard to get) and they have not stopped talking since that day. Stacey would like to note, she made the first move, connecting via text. Will insists the hug was the first move. You decide? Their first date was at Amaro's on November 2. They both ordered shrimp risotto. Three hours passed in what felt like thirty minutes. The waitress could feel the energy at the table as it took them 45 minutes to be silent enough to order. Stacey refused to call it a date at first to anyone who asked. (Can we say denial?) Stacey left for a work trip to Montana, and the in between was filled with nonstop conversations between the two of them. When Will came over right after she returned, she finally admitted that yes, it had in fact been a date. Within a week of that first date, Stacey was leaving for three weeks in Buffalo (remember a Gibbins is never still). So the night before she left, they decided to make it official. They both had heard people say, “When you know, you know.” They discovered that sometimes, you just know.
