Austin and Megan met back in high school but didn't start dating until college. While Megan thought that Austin was handsome and wanted to try dating him in high school, the timing was not right. A few years into college, Austin and Megan coincidentally went out to Lake Havasu the same weekend but with different friend groups. After seeing that Megan was going out there, Austin messaged her on social media wishing her to have a fun time (At first I thought this was a little strange since we hadn't talked since high school!!). They soon started messaging back and forth all weekend, and when they both returned, Austin asked her if she wanted to go out on a date. Of course Megan said yes, and now over 4 years later knows that was one of the best decisions!
An Alaskan cruise trip had been planned for quite some time with Megan's family to celebrate her fathers retirement. Austin had been planning for months to propose during this trip. Austin and Easton (Megan's brother-in-law) scoped out some places on the cruise ship for Austin to propose. They came across this up scale lounge with a wine cellar room and single table inside. Austin knew this was the place. After being told we were only going to this lounge for a cocktail before dinner, Megan was truly astounded when Austin got down on one knee to ask her to marry him. After asking, " Will you marry me? ," the answer was of course yes!!
