Yes! The dress code for the wedding is formal/black-tie optional. We’d love for our guests to dress to impress! Think suits or tuxedos for men and long gowns, cocktail dresses, or dressy jumpsuits for women. While a tux or floor-length gown is always a great choice, a suit or a chic midi dress is also perfectly appropriate. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in style!
We ask that wedding guests please arrive 30 minutes early (5 pm) to the Statehouse so you can go through security and make your way to your seats with plenty of time.
Yes! We are registered at Williams Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, and Amazon. You can find more information on the registry page of our website.
We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family! Due to space limitations, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If a plus one was included, their name will appear on your invitation and the online RSVP. Thank you for understanding!
While we absolutely love your little ones, all hosted events throughout the wedding weekend will be adults only. Thank you so much for your understanding!
Our caterer is more than happy to make accommodations for any food allergies. If you do have an allergy, please specify it when you make your dinner selection on the RSVP so we can inform the caterer promptly.
We won’t be providing transportation since the venue is just a short one-block walk from the Renaissance hotel where we have the room block. For those not coming from the hotel, rideshare services are widely available and easy to find if needed. For those who prefer to drive, please see our FAQ below regarding parking.
Yes! Please see directions below regarding parking and validation: The Statehouse offers underground parking with direct sheltered access to the Ohio Statehouse. You can enter the parking garage from Broad, State or Third Streets. Simply pull a ticket and park in any non-reserved spot. You will be able to pick up a voucher (“chaser ticket”) during the reception to allow you to get out of the lot without payment. It is suggested that you park on the green parking level, but there is additional parking spots on the yellow and blue levels. Once you have parked your car please head to the green level of the parking garage. You’ll enter the Statehouse through a set of sliding glass doors near aisle 8, in the middle of the green level, where you will see a sign above the door that reads “Ohio Statehouse.” Note: there are more than one set of sliding glass doors on both sides of the parking garage. Please find the sliding glass doors that say “Ohio Statehouse” above them. Once you enter the sliding glass doors, go to the top of the stairs, where you will be greeted by an Ohio Highway Patrol Officer (you will go through security at this time). Once through security, please follow the directional signage posted behind the Ohio Highway Patrol Officer.
