Geno and I met at Razzoo’s in McKinney where we both waited tables. We were just coworkers during the time we worked there together and thought nothing of each other beyond that. Months later, we ended up running into each other at Cowboys Red River, where we danced the night away. There were immediate sparks! We danced together week after week and that’s how our love story began. Forever grateful for Razzoo’s and Red River!
Geno is a terrible liar, and I always told myself I would know when the proposal was coming. That was NOT the case. I thought we were planning a special night for my best friend Tara to celebrate getting her Masters degree. We got dressed up and went to her house before heading out. Tara distracted me for a few minutes, and then we went out back to find the guys. As soon as I open the door, music starts playing and I see Geno standing there, surrounded by tons of candles and lights. I immediately knew what was happening, and was in complete shock. I ugly cried, squealed, and still have no idea what he said. The night was followed by a surprise engagement party with our friends and a staycation at the Renaissance. Everything about the night was so romantic, and the perfect proposal for both of us.
