Lady Bird Lake
We love ladybird lake! Whether it's taking a run or walk around the lady bird trail, it's a great place to get fresh air on a pretty waterfront. Stop by The Perch to get a coffee for your walk, or if the weather permits, rent a paddle board and get on the water!
Texas Capitol
If you want to learn about our great state of Texas, book yourself a tour of the Capitol!
South Congress Avenue
There is so much to do on South Congress! Highly recommend just bip bopping around for a morning or afternoon. Snap a picture at with the Austin Motel sign or "i love you so much" mural, grab a coffee at Jo's, brunch at Two Hands, pizza at Homeslice, buy some new boots at Allens or a custom cowboy hat at Maufrais!
Donn's Depot
Donn's Depot is a live music bar that plays all the classics and has a spacious dance floor to bust some moves. Andrew & Patricia have spent countless nights practicing their dancing there!
UT Tower
Take a walk around the beautiful UT campus!
De Nada Cantina
If you want some savory tacos and knock out margaritas, this is the place you want to be. One of our favorite Austin restaurants! Be warned, the crowds get crazy here -- we recommend getting a reservation well in advance.
Matt's El Rancho
This is Austin's flagship tex-mex restaurant. Strong margs, great, queso, and super energetic ambiance. Big crowds here, and no reservations, so come early!
Terry Black's Barbecue
You're in Austin, have some barbecue! Terry Blacks is delicious and the wait typically isn't too bad.
Paperboy
The BEST brunch in all of Austin in our opinion. The upstairs patio is a wonderful spot to spend a beautiful morning. Highly recommend getting a reservation.
Flitch Coffee
Patricia's parents always make a stop here to get some coffee every single time they visit. Such a great coffee spot in East Austin with breakfast tacos available as well!
Sammataro Pizza
Andrew's favorite pizza place. There was a point in time when we ordered this pizza on a weekly basis because it was just THAT good. This is in a little food truck park so there's only outdoor seating, so a great spot to hit if weather is good. There's usually live music here on the weekends and there's a spot to grab a bottle of wine in the same food truck park. Getting the ranch is a MUST.
