Sam and Rosie matched on Bumble their senior year of college after being acquaintances since living on the same floor their freshman year. Rosie sent him a funny little message at 3 in the morning, not expecting a response. To her shock, Sam replied immediately and they talked for hours. Rosie spent the rest of senior year sitting at Sam's baseball games for hours and cheering him on and Sam did his best to help Rosie frantically make crafts for her sorority. The rest was history!
For me, it really didn't take long to know Rosie was the one. It all started to click in my head that I was going to spend the rest of his life with her one night at Rosie's grandparent's lake house. Let's just say I got a little carried away one night and wasn't feeling up to par the next morning. Rosie sat by my side and took care of me and nursed me back to strength the entire day. Rosie is the kind of person who will do anything to take care of the people she loves, even if it means she misses out on her favorite past time, tanning by the water. That is the kind of person I want to spend the rest of my life with. Rosie continues to validate my thoughts every single day and I cannot wait for September 5th, 2020 because on that day I can finally make my best friend my wife.
It's hard for me to write this, because I don't think that there is any one moment that made me realize that I wanted to marry Sam. I wouldn't be able to pick one if I tried. Sam has continuously made me fall more and more in love with him since the day we met, and I don't doubt that this will continue for the rest of our lives. When I met Sam, I knew I liked him. Way earlier than is probably acceptable, I knew that I loved him. Gradually, we started spending all of our time together, living together, making decisions together as one, and I just knew that it was what I wanted forever. There was no singular standout moment, but rather our entire relationship worth of small moments, inside jokes, holding me while I cried, taking Luka and Jasper to thousands of dollars worth of vet appointments, and making me so unbelievably happy, and all of these moments just showed me that Sam was exactly who I needed in my life. Sam is, without a doubt, the best person I've ever met. I can't wait to marry my best friend.
Sam proposed to Rosie while taking a sunset stroll on the beach. They had spent the week relaxing, laying in the sun, swimming, drinking, and eating, and Sam decided to take Rosie to one of her favorite restaurants on the water to celebrate the end of their first vacation together. It was a beautiful evening, and as they walked toward the pier Sam turned to Rosie, told her he loved her, and dropped down on one knee. Rosie burst into tears and said "Are you serious?" They look forward to many more trips to the beach together, but nothing will top that moment! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in September!
