Her POV: It all started back in 2020 during Eid al-Adha celebration. I couldn't help but notice him especially since he was in his military uniform. He was playing with my nephew and I took the chance to record the interaction ( just so I can look at him properly without getting caught). He asked me to share the video I took with him and I remember ignoring him. Fast forward to 2021, a family friend thought we would be a great match and they were not wrong. We were brought together at the perfect time, if you know us, you know we are very different but we fit together so perfectly. Loving you is the best feeling ever, it feels like a 90's RnB song! The easiest yes I've ever said ;) Alhamdulilah for all the yesterdays, Subhanallah for today and Inshallah for tomorrow! His POV: On the day of Eid 2020, I woke up not knowing I would meet my future wife. For me, the day was simple; pray and go to work. I check those off the list. But just short of clocking out for the day, I was invited to come to grab some food at a mutual family friend's house. I get there and said my hellos and a little boy come up to me and asks if I'm a soldier. I responded yes. I asked if he wanted to try on my OCP blouse and PC and look like a soldier. After putting the clothes on him, I hear from my right "You should record that." The person was non-other than Mariam. She started making comments from the side, and I thought " Who is this tiny ass girl talking to?" I was shocked at the rebuttals she had and similarly entertained. The following year a family friend came by to say Hi while my parents were visiting. On their way out, she said that she think there is someone she thinks I should meet. I said I was fine with it. A day later, I got a phone number. With no real expectations, I texted, just trying to see where the conversation would go. The conversation sparked my attention. We went back and forth. Those conversations started to multiply into car rides, trips to the back, and study dates to where we are now. Having another conversation about where we started. I cannot imagine myself without my sunflower. She has been and will continue to be my heart in human form. God blessed me with more than a wife, he blessed me with a forever best friend.
