How We Met!

He Tried That

One day in college, me, the bride was going out with some friends and needed to stop for gas. The pump wasn’t working so I had to go pay inside, as I was walking to the door this guy, the groom, tried to stop me. Naturally I wasn’t having it at first but he was persistent so I finally gave him my number and never thought I would hear from him again. Next thing I know I get a text later that week from the guy asking me to hang out. I said sure thinking it couldn’t hurt, I showed up at the guys house where he then told me we would be watching a movie there. Understandably, I was skeptical of this idea due to the fact he probably was going to try, what you all know as “Nextflix and Chill.” Unfortunately, I was right and he tried to move in for a kiss later that night when I then slapped him and left. I honestly thought I would never talk to this guy again, like what type of girl did he think I was. A little over a year later I saw him at a school event when he then came up to me and ask me to go on a real date, I agreed. As we can see the rest is history, we fell deeply in love with one another wits and beauty.

The Proposal

Wanna Be Honeymooners

It was like a Dream! I will never forget the courage and patience that it took for this proposal to be possible. First, let me start by saying this was our second time in Los Cabos, Mexico for the right reasons. I knew exactly how I was going to make this experience unforgettable just like it was the first time but for the wrong reasons. Yet , this time it would be an unforgettably joyful memory. I, the groom, made adjustments at the counter to start Sylvia’s birthday vacation on the right foot. So..., I lied about being on our honeymoon so we can get an upgraded room and of course it worked. I also told her I made arrangements for her birthday breakfast in-bed so she had no idea of the proposal. The bride thought there might’ve been a chance but I turned it down by clarifying it wasn’t going to happen during this trip. The night after her birthday I had requested to have a candle light dinner on the beach outside of the cabana with the very best of food and drinks. Our night went exceptionally well to say the least. I decided to get on my knees and propose during the arrival of the dessert. When dessert arrived I brought her up to the cabana where there was a heart made out of roses, lighting up our love for the rest of our lives. We made a pact to always love each other and to never give up on one another ! Ooh yeah and of course she said YES!
