Where & When should I fly?

Answer

Fly to DIA on Saturday July 19 or early Sunday July 20 if you only plan to attend the wedding. Fly to DIA on Friday July 18 (or earlier) if you are a part of the Wedding Party as the Rehearsal is Saturday morning. (Flight tickets should be around $200.)

How far away is the venue from the Airport?

The venue is 1 hour 20 mins away from DIA.

Where should I stay?

Answer

There are 4 town recommendations for lodging: Estes Park, CO is about 1.5 hours from DIA and about 20 minutes to the venue. Boulder, CO is about 40 minutes from DIA and 1 hour from the venue. Longmont, CO is about 45 mins from DIA and 1 hour from the venue. The venue is in Allenspark, CO- there may be local motels or AirBNB rentals nearby.

Do I have to rent a car?

Answer

*Yes* We recommend coordinating a rental with a close friend or family member that is also going to the wedding. There are plenty of car rental options at the airport, but we recommend Budget. You can get a 30% discount if you have an Amazon account. You will also get an Amazon gift card after the rental. We also recommend getting rental car insurance as anything can happen in the mountains. FYI, an Uber costs approximately $100 from DIA to Wild Basin Lodge (as of September 2024). There are also NO "readily available" Ubers/Lyfts in the area of Estes Park, CO. There is a shuttle in Estes Park to get around town while here, but no true Rideshare option other than a taxi. *Final Note: There is an Airport Shuttle to/from Estes Park. However as noted above- there are NO Ubers or Lyfts so you will need to figure out transportation.
