Our Story

Tamara and Greg met in Pensacola in 2018 while they were both there for training. They went on exactly one date (and Tamara disputes that it even counts as a date), and then she ghosted him. True story. I grilled the two of them for details. Tamara says, "I ghosted him because he couldn't act right!" This has yet to be corroborated however, so we are going to deem that as false. Greg says, "she ghosted me because she didn't want to get in trouble. It was the right call. Just glad we reconnected." Man, what a guy. Seriously! So 2018, that was the end. Unknown to each other, they both had tried to find each other again online, something Tamara admitted to once and has staunchly denied since. In 2022, one of these attempts by Greg was successful when he received a response of "new phone, who dis?" As fate would have it, Tamara knew exactly who this message was from, but she had to play it oh so cool right? Afterall, she did ghost him previously. And so their story began again. Long distance and frequent trips evolved into long term and a shared zip (that means they moved in since that line was probably too Janitor Movie-esque for Clint). Unfortunately, that shared zip code existed in Clovis, New Mexico. Now, maybe some of you have heard of Murica's Mecca. It truly is a place beyond words and comprehension. Seriously, go visit. Any time of the year works. The day that brought them to Clovis is worth mentioning too. Greg took a morning flight out to Greenville, South Carolina where Tamara picked him up at the airport to drive back with her to New Mexico. He is what we call "ate up." Like for real, someone come get your boy. That's a long day! Fast forward a year and a half, and now these two are in New York! It's technically upstate NY because anything north of NYC is upstate, but even further north is called "North Country." Apparently, some people were upset about upstate starting in the bottom half of the state. It snows here. Luckily, one of them can drive in the snow and can generally handle themselves (Tamara), and one of them gets better at both every day (also Tamara). Along for the ride and party to all this nonsense is none other than the Pooh Bear, London Marie. While she did not approve of Greg at first (let's be real here, who of us actually did), she now begrudgingly tolerates his presence in limited quantities. She does appreciate his dedication for keeping her spots warm around the house on the couch and on the bed, although she does not appreciate the fact that he lingers there far longer than is acceptable. Here's to hoping he gets it soon, Pooh Bear. And to everyone else, thank you for reading what was basically a steady stream of consciousness. Click around to read other stuff too!
