FAQs

Question

How and when should I RSVP by?

Answer

You can RSVP via this website under the "RSVP" tab. Simply fill in your name and let us know if you can celebrate with us! The sooner you can let us know, the better! Please RSVP by February 12th, 2027, thank you!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is semi-formal; we would love for everyone to dress up with us! Suits/blazers and cocktail dresses are perfect - dress to impress, but feel comfortable. The weather is likely to be chilly at night, so we recommend to plan accordingly!

Question

Where should we stay for the wedding?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with all of you! We have limited on-site lodging available at Sugar Hollow Retreat for close family and the wedding party. If you’re staying off-site, there are plenty of great Airbnbs in the surrounding area. If you would rather stay in a hotel we recommend Boone, NC. We’ll share some recommendations on our website to help make your trip easy and enjoyable!

Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will start promptly at 5pm. We ask guests to arrive at 4:30 to allow for time to sign our guest book, grab a drink, and find a seat!

Question

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

We will be providing beer, wine, and seltzers during the reception. For the rest of the weekend, guests are welcome (and encouraged!) to bring any additional beverages they may want to enjoy. Per our venue’s policy, all alcohol served during the reception must be handled by the bartenders. If you bring a specific drink you’d like during the reception, please give it to the bartender when you arrive—they can label it and serve it to you upon request.

Question

Can I bring my own food/drinks onto the property?

Answer

We encourage it! For our guests staying on-site with us, you are more than welcome to stock your fridge with whatever you'd like! Each cabin has a full size fridge and fully stocked kitchen. We recommend you to purchase whatever snack and drinks you'd like to bring with you BEFORE making the road-trip, as there are no major grocery stores directly in the area. We suggest stopping in Johnson City, TN or Boone, NC on your way in, as there are no major grocery stores nearby. There is a small general store close to the property with snacks, drinks, beer, basic essentials, and convenience items, as well as a Dollar General down the road—but options are limited

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes! We are excited to celebrate with everyone, including the little ones, and they are more than welcome to join us. That said, we also know weddings can be a great excuse for an adults-only getaway, so if you’re able to enjoy a kid-free weekend, we’d love that too. Either way, we’ll be thrilled to celebrate with you!
