How We Met

Still I am certain to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord; be strong and courageous. Wait patiently for the Lord! (Psalm 27:13-14)

First and foremost, Alexia and I give God all the honor, glory, and praise for bringing us together. When you are faithful and obedient in pursing what He has spoken to you God gives you the desires of your heart. The first time I saw Alexia was on Sunday, June 10th, 2018. I had driven from Texas on Friday 06:30 AM CST and arrived to Florida on Saturday 05:30 AM EST. I had told the Lord that I was coming to Bible school for Him and nothing else! It was my first Sunday service and I had gotten there early. Someone had asked me for help with the computer that was being used for service. While I was sitting at the table I turned to my right and I see Alexia for the first time. I felt my eyes open wide and I said to myself, "Wow, who is that?" followed by, "Lord, what did we just get through talking about?!". I had a whole back-and-forth with the Lord reminding Him of our conversation. It was afterwards I knew in my heart the answer to my question, "She is your future wife." Certainly, I was NOT going to tell her about this and scare her off! Though the Lord had orchestrated everything for us. We got to serve together. We had the same day scheduled to go soul winning. Nothing was forced. The two of us getting to know each other happened naturally. Fast forward, I received the blessings from both her parents and our pastors to date in February 2021. The following year on our dating anniversary of February 2022 I propose to her. Now we will be married February 10th, 2023. The Lord has truly blessed me with Alexia. When the Word said that God will bless you abundantly Alexia is a testimony of His blessing in my life. She is more than I could have ever asked for and then some. -Joshua Aldape Psalm 37:3-5 AMPC 3) Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed. 4) Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. 5) Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.
