Entering West Point

We highly encourage everyone to explore the historic campus of West Point and the Military Academy. To do so you must first obtain a visitor pass. Everyone over 18 who wants to explore the historic Army base must first get a pass at the visitor center. If you are only visiting the Thayer Hotel, a pass is not required. We highly encourage everyone to get a visitor pass.

How to get a visitor pass?

Ensure you have a government issued ID Go to the visitor center located at from the Visitor center located at : 2107 New South Post Road, Highland Falls, NY 10928, Tel: (315) 774-9235 or (315) 774-9234. Attire Guide

Our wedding will take place at the beautiful Thayer Hotel in June, so please plan for a classic, polished look with warm weather in mind. Fun colors and summery accessories welcome! Dress Code: Cocktail Attire Women: Cocktail dresses, midi/maxi dresses, or dressy jumpsuits. Men: Suits or dress shirts with slacks (tie optional) A few helpful tips: The ceremony will be outdoors, so opt for comfortable shoes (block heels, wedges, or flats are great choices). Sunglasses and/or dressy sun-hats are welcome! The Cocktail Party and Reception will be indoors. Evenings by the Hudson River can cool down slightly—bringing a light wrap or jacket is a good idea if you would like to enjoy the outdoor space adjacent to the Ballroom. Think elevated, classic, and comfortable. Light, breathable fabrics are encouraged for the June weather.

Following the ceremony, the couple and their families will be taking photos before the reception begins. During this brief interlude, guests are invited to enjoy a short break—perfect for checking into the hotel if you haven’t already, taking a stroll and exploring the beautiful grounds, or simply relaxing and freshening up before the evening’s celebration continues at 5:00PM

Parking & Entering the Hotel

-Valet parking is complimentary and available 24 hours -Guests may pull up to the hotel and have their vehicle parked for them or choose to self-park and receive golf cart assistance from the parking lot -Hotel parking for all guests is at the bottom of the hill from the hotel -Designated handicap parking spaces are allotted in front of the hotel entrance where our valet can assist you with unloading and parking your vehicle
