Her Side of the Story

It all started in a Keller Williams class in fall 2023. Gage needed a divorce attorney (for a client, relax), and I just so happened to babysit for one. Naturally, I raised my hand like the overachiever I am and shared my info. We exchanged numbers, and… nothing happened. Radio silence. Fast forward to December—cue the Facebook friend request (mutual realtor friends, you know the drill!). I posted about an upcoming open house but forgot a digit in my phone number. Gage, clearly stalking—I mean MONITORING for marketing accuracy—noticed within minutes and messaged me on Facebook to let me know. From there, we started chatting nonstop, and he eventually asked if we could text instead… not realizing he already had my number from that class. Smooth. By January (right around my birthday), he asked me on our first date. Three dates in, I made the first move (yes, I kissed him first), and I knew I was in trouble—in the best way. Over a year later, in the most magical proposal ever, Gage popped the question in Kyoto, Japan with a ring custom-made by his dad. Moral of the story? Always include all 10 digits in your phone number! Just kidding - God has a plan for everyone and everything!

His Side of the Story

Fall 2023, I was in a Keller Williams class just trying to get a divorce attorney contact—not for me, for a client—and this girl raises her hand like it’s a game show buzzer. She said she babysat for one and offered to send the info. We exchanged numbers, and… I did absolutely nothing with it. But wait! Fast forward to December. I saw her open house post on Facebook and realized she left off a digit in her phone number. Naturally, I took it upon myself to be the hero of the day and messaged her to let her know (someone had to save her leads). She replied, and suddenly we were chatting nonstop. I eventually asked if we could move the convo to text—not realizing I already had her number. Whoops. I asked her out in January, and by date three, she kissed me first—respect. I was already head over heels. Then, in April of the next year, I proposed in Kyoto, Japan with a custom ring made by my dad, who’s a jeweler. She said yes before I could finish my sentence! So yeah, all it took was a typo, a bold babysitter, and a little international flair. And now we’re getting married! And I can’t thank God enough for putting her in my life.
