The dress code is Black Tie Formal; please dress accordingly. For women, we recommend a floor length dress or gown and a nice pair of pumps or flats. For men, we recommend a black tuxedo and bow tie or a nice suit and tie.
Out of respect for the church, you may NOT wear a costume during the ceremony. We are allowing our guests to change into a costume only after dinner has been finished and the cake it cut. And remember to PLEASE, keep it appropriate.
Although it is difficult to predict the weather, the beginning of October in the area generally has highs in the upper 80s to low 90s, and lows averaging in the mid 60s. Although our wedding and reception are indoors, you might take this into consideration when planning your trip.
The wedding ceremony will take place at St. Mary's Orthodox Church in Orange, California. The reception is in the ballroom attached to the church. We will be having cocktail hour outside, but the reception doors will open as soon as cocktail hour has ended.
Yes, we have blocked a group of rooms at the Hampton Inn & Suites Mission Viejo. This hotel is brand new! It sits right on the same highway to the Church, about a 10-15 minute drive to from the hotel.
Your invitation will indicate if you are allowed to bring a guest. If your invitation says, "and Guest" you are allowed to, but not required to bring somebody. If your invitation only has your name and no "and Guest", you are only reserved 1 seat.
Unfortunately no, our wedding is an adult only occasion. If you have children, call a babysitter and make our wedding into a great date night out!
Yes, we will have several hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. We will also be having a plated dinner with served wine and port. Cake will be served and small finger desserts will be served as well. During, please enjoy our open bar!
Your presence at our wedding truly is a gift in itself; however, if you would like to purchase something in honor of the occasion, you may find our registry information in the "registry" tab at the top of the page.
