November 9th - We're Ready!

Our story began on December 11 of 2021 at an annual Alpha Ball presented by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated at The Main Hotel in Downtown Norfolk. Unfortunately Covid was still a thing. People were trying to figure out how to be around each other in public. But one thing's certain, we were ready to get dressed up, eat good food, and dance. Luckily, I was invited by my good friend Jessica as her "date" to the Alpha Ball. Consequently, she was invited by her colleague Darius. Who is also Alex's Line Brother. Looking back on that day, Alex had no idea that his line brother would be introducing him to his future wife. After the introduction, he bought me a drink, we talked and danced until the Alpha Ball ended. Of course, I'm leaving out a few details in that introduction :) But I was definitely intrigued by him and by his smile. We continued the "introductory date" to a late night restaurant nearby and we have been inseparable ever since. Just over a year later on January 29th of 2023 he asked me to marry him and I said YES...at least 3 times :) On June 2nd of 2023, he took me on a camping trip. That night he set up the tent with hanging lights, flowers, champagne, rose petals he had hidden inside his truck and presented me with my beautiful engagement ring. So WE ARE READY on November 9th of 2024 to jump the broom and start a new chapter as husband and wife. Thank you visiting our page and we hope to see you on our day.
