Thea and Cardale met in August of 2009. She was on her way to a football game with friends who just so happen to be his sisters. After making it to the game, he told his sisters to give her his number but she initially refused. After encouragement from his sisters, she finally took his number and the rest was history.

Dale had a beautiful plan to propose on Christmas day as this holiday is extremely important to the couple. During the time that surrounds Christmas is when the pair first saw each other months after their initial meeting and the time when the two first became a couple. Christmas Eve 2010 is when they made the choice to take their relationship serious and be together once and for all. With the importance of the holiday being so high, Dale wanted to use it as the time to propose. Dale planned to prospose at a Christmas gathering at Thea's brother's home. He ok'd the plan with her brother but it was ruined when her ring wasn't ready in time. That didn't stop Dale though. Instead, on December 29th when Thea came home from work he proposed to her. It was intimate. No crowd or extras, just the ones that mattered the most; him, her, and their son.

Relationships are filled with ups and downs and twist and turns. Things were no different for Thea and Dale. The two has stayed together through the growing pains of becoming adults and learning who they are as individuals and as a couple. They've seen each other at their best and absolute worst. They have jumped over financial obstacles and experienced becoming parents together. Even with differences, there were way more good times.
