We were a whopping 7 years old while attending the 2nd grade together (shout-out Mayde Creek Elementary!). Fast forward through our friendship by a few years, we became COWORKERS on the Gator Broadcasting Company doing morning announcements together for the school in 5th grade. We stayed close after that and junior high was no exception. As we got older, both of our cooties started wearing off and Ms.Dabney's 8th period english class was where our spark really began. Class always started with us racing each other for the corner seat on Ms.Dabney's futon and sometimes wrestling for it, but we were inseparable. Our teachers teased us for talking during class and we always denied that anything would come of it (the cooties weren't completely gone yet) but years later, they were right. To Ms.Dabney and Mr.Diggs, yall called it. Teenagers and late night texting are always a funny mix. We soon went from bickering friends to blossoming puppy love. Josh was always so calm and cool when I would "bully" him to see if he liked me back, because what freshman was brave enough to ask?? At the end of the year, we went to the JROTC military ball together as friends, but it didn't take much time after that to realize the feelings were mutual and the rest is history!
