FAQs

The Wedding Website of Erica Dixon and Erik Castellanos
Question

Are kids welcomed?

Answer

We would love to have your ENTIRE family with us to celebrate with us! If you’re invited, your kids are included in the invitation. We will have little packets for the kids to play with and a nanny available as the night progresses. However, high chairs are limited for dinner.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’re asking our guests to dress semi-formal. Sorry ladies, since the ceremony is outdoors you might be a little uncomfortable in an evening gown and your stilettos! We want you guys comfortable, but dress to impress also!

Question

What is an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

Unplugged means no phones/videos are present during the ceremony. We will have a wonderful photographer and videographer present to capture ALL of the special moments, and we want you in the timeless moment with us. Please refrain from phone usage during the ceremony. Afterward, snap away!

Question

Where is Monroe Center?

Answer

It’s right near Rockford, IL! The venue is on an off-road and if not planned accordingly can get a little confusing. Please map out ahead of time to avoid confusion.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony is at 3:00 pm sharp, and we’re asking guests to arrive at 2:30 so you all have enough time to get settled in.

Question

Is there a discount on rooms available?

Answer

We have set aside a block of rooms at the Courtyard Marriott in Rockford, which is a 15-minute drive from the venue. The 7th and the 8th have both been blocked off. If you book through our block, your nightly rate will be $124.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes. We will have a complimentary shuttle service to the venue and back to the hotel.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is parking on-site and there will be someone directing you all to your parking spots.

Question

I should be able to make the ceremony, but not the reception (and vice versa). Is that okay?

Answer

Absolutely! We just want to see you there. When you RSVP, please just specify that so we can plan accordingly.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Due to allergies in our household and dietary choices, we will have vegetarian and vegan options available. If you have any other allergies please don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll make sure we accommodate you.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Due to us living together for 4 years now and having everything we need for our home, we’re kindly asking guests to contribute to our honeymoon fund! Any amount is appreciated!
