Question

When Should I Arrive to the Ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the Naval Academy Chapel (Building 9) between 1:40-2:00 PM. Early guests will wait in Dahlgren Hall until seating begins at 1:40 PM. The ceremony starts promptly at 2:00 PM.

Question

Arch of Swords

Answer

Immediately following our ceremony, we invite all guests to gather on the sidewalk in front of the Chapel steps to witness the traditional Arch of Swords ceremony. During this special military tradition, our sword bearers will form an arch with their ceremonial swords, under which we'll share our first walk as a married couple. The ceremony includes traditional elements such as the "toll" of a kiss to pass through the arch and a formal welcome to the military family. This cherished military wedding tradition will take place at approximately 2:30 pm, directly after the ceremony concludes and we exit the Chapel.

Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

Semi-Formal. Gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, or tuxes are all welcome. The bridal party will be in taupe.

Question

Are Children Welcome?

Answer

As much as we love our little ones, our wedding is exclusively for adults. Thank you for understanding!
