You may start to notice a theme that Waynesboro and the surrounding areas take great pride in their local breweries, distilleries, cideries and farms. There are plenty to choose from with so many incredible views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Here are some of Emma's favorites. Looking for something specific? Blue Ridge Tunnel

The Blue Ridge Tunnel is a historic railroad tunnel built during the construction of the Blue Ridge Railroad in the 1850s. Traveling through the long, dark tunnel will be a stirring experience for a variety of visitors from across the Commonwealth and beyond: hikers and cyclists of every level, wildlife watchers, history enthusiasts, railroad buffs, hikers and bikers, heritage tourists and cave dwellers.

Grand Caverns

Grand Caverns, formerly known as Weyer's Cave, is located in the central Shenandoah Valley in the town of Grottoes, Virginia. A limestone cavern, it claims the distinction of being America's oldest show cave, in operation since 1806. History runs deep at Grand Caverns.

Some of Emma's fondest memories as a child were at Woodrow Wilson's birthplace. Every year, her grandparents would take her to Woodrow Wilson's birthday party held at his birthplace which included cake, activities and a tour of his birthplace. These memories hold a special place in Emma's heart to this day. She always thought how cool it was that a president lived so close-by to her hometown!

Thomas Jefferson's Monticello

Devils Backbone Brewing Company

If you're on the hunt for some of the best local beer in the Shenandoah Valley, look no further than Devil's Backbone! It's known for it's is a Belgian-style beer. Featuring a beautiful pale-golden color, this ale's spicy hops and Belgian yeast work together to create a distinctive flavor and aroma. Oh, and they serve up some incredible food as well! This is Nick's favorite spot to visit when he comes to town.
