Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please go to our RSVP tab on this website and enter the first and last name of one member of your party. If you're responding for you and a guest (or your family), you'll be able to RSVP for your entire group on the following page. If you received a paper RSVP card along with your invitation, please fill and mail it back to us if you prefer. If you have any difficulty, please let us know and we’ll RSVP online for you! :) Either way, please respond by March 1st! This will help us adequately plan for the number of our friends and loved ones attending.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love ALL your children, but unfortunately due to space and safety concerns our venue is unsuitable for children under 16. We hope this will allow you a much-deserved night off to celebrate with us!

Question

Can I bring a date/plus one?

Answer

We are currently at maximum capacity for our venues, so in order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation, but please feel free to e-mail us if you have any questions! contact.us.redd.wedding@gmail.com

Question

What is your COVID policy?

Answer

In order to keep everyone safe and healthy, our venues have requested that all guests ensure they are in good health, and either take a covid test a few days prior to our event or are fully-vaccinated. Hand sanitizer and masks, though not required, will be provided if you need them. We anticipate about 100 of our friends and family will be with us, plus many vendor staff and older loved ones with health issues whom we really don’t want to get sick. We politely ask that you please be respectful of this and stay home if you are feeling unwell. If you can’t make it, we will be sure to share plenty of photos!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, if you wish to honour us with a gift, we have registered a list zola.com, Target, and Amazon. All are combined into one listing on this website, but each are still individually listed at their respective stores, and you are welcome to purchase them there. Any changes will automatically be reflected in the combined registry here.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We hope our wedding will be a fun excuse to wear your Sunday best! For the gents, this could be khakis, a polo shirt, and dress shoes or a sport coat and dress pants. If you have a suit, you’re welcome to wear it, but no tuxes please :) For the ladies, this could be knee-length or midi dresses or skirts—please nothing extremely revealing. You’re welcome to wear cocktail dresses, Spring/Summer dresses, or pantsuits in general. It will be April and (hopefully) beautiful! :)

Question

Where is your wedding taking place? How long will it last?

Answer

We will be holding our ceremony at First Christian Church of Augusta and our reception at the Old Government House also in Augusta. For addresses and event times, please refer to our Schedule tab on this website :)

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

At First Christian, please park in the large fenced-in lot directly behind the church. There is a tiny lot to the right of the church, but only the left side is reserved for church parking. The opposite side is reserved for another business and is off limits. At the Old Government House, please do not park on the side streets in front of the building. It is more difficult for the officer on duty to keep an eye on them, and we have been informed that there have been break-ins in the past when guests leave items in their cars. The lots belonging to the Old Gov’t House and the Augusta Utilities building, which are directly behind our venue, will be available for guest parking and patrolled by the officer on duty. Please be sure to park there instead.

Question

Can we take our own pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We're respectfully asking that everyone leave all cameras and cell phones off. We've hired an amazing wedding photographer who will be capturing everything — and we're inviting each of you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the moment :) Of course, we will share the pictures with you afterward, and we would love for you to take plenty of pictures during the reception! (Our wedding hashtag will be #thereddwedding2023)

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Our reception will be buffet-style, so we will have plenty of options for everyone to choose from, but please let us know if you have any severe allergies, and we will do our best to accommodate!

Question

How do I contact you if I have other questions?

Answer

We’d love to hear from you! Please email us at contact.us.redd.wedding@gmail.com with any questions or just to say “hi!” We can’t wait to see you!
