We first matched on Bumble. My first impression of Freddy was that he was handsome, genuine, and a complete gentleman. Freddy’s first impression of me? That I meant business. On our first date, I came prepared with a full list of questions about who he was, his dating history, and his intentions. Because one thing about me, I don’t have time to waste. I was certain he’d never call me again. But I got a text that same night asking my availability for the days to come. We both realized pretty early that this was something different. For me, it was around Valentine’s Day of 2024. Freddy showed up at my apartment before I left for work to hand-deliver flowers, just to make sure I started my day feeling loved. Later that evening, he took me to dinner and drinks at the same place where we had our very first date. It felt full-circle in the sweetest way, and it’s a night I’ll never forget. For Freddy, one of the moments he knew I was the one came even earlier. He visited me at my job in North Haven to take me to lunch. We had plans to go to a trendy Caribbean restaurant, but it was unexpectedly closed. So we ended up at a small, cozy local diner instead. That spontaneous change of plans turned into one of our favorite memories and became 'our spot' in North Haven. And if you ask us what our favorite thing about our relationship is, we always land on the same answer: how much fun we have together. We spend about 90% of our time laughing. Freddy's been known to crack a joke or two. And if you know me, you know I LOVE a good laugh! From there, our story has been filled with moments that feel like home. Staycations all over New York. Our first holiday season with each other’s families. Moving in together and creating our little family with our puppy, Honey, and our cat, Kleo. Countless nights of laughing ourselves to sleep, mornings with Freddy cooking one of his amazing meals, hosting get together's, BBQs and holiday parties. And everyday moments that reminded us that love is supposed to feel like this. Now we get to continue that story with all the warmth, silliness, joy, and love that brought us here in the first place. And we are soooooo excited about coming together to celebrate!!
