There is so much to do while you are here from sightseeing, to breathing in the fresh mountain air, to getting your feet wet. If there is something you're looking for that isn't listed, let us know, but we hope this may get you started with some of our favorite things to do:
This is one of our favorite hikes to go on, plus there's a stream we get to put our paws in at the end. It has a pretty steep uphill to the falls but a leisurely walk down afterwards. It requires about a 45 minute car ride, but the views when we stick our heads out the windows are lovely. We recommend going early in the morning to get a spot in the parking lot. Since this is at a state park, you will need a parking pass but can buy one on site.
This was one of our first hikes when we moved to Washington and is also where our humans got engaged! We recommend taking the North trail down to the water and back up along the Seminary trail to the Lodge. This is a state park which requires a pass for parking but you can buy one on site.
This is where our human Bethany ran a real long race last year. We weren't allowed to go but she hasn't stopped talking about it!
If you are hoping to get your feet wet or to go for a swim, we love to splash around at Waverly Beach Park. This is a small beach with a beautiful dock on Lake Washington. Luna loves looking for waterfowl and eagles, while Tango is getting his paws wet. On a clear day you may even see Mt Rainier!
This past summer our humans gave us a taste of boat life! We love to go kayaking down the Sammamish River and in Juanita Bay. If you are looking to rent kayaks or paddle boards while you are here we recommend WhatsSup at the Park at Bothell Landing, Seattle Paddle at Juanita Beach Park or Marina Park
Our human Sam loves disc golf and got Bethany hooked when they moved here. Their favorite course to visit is Howling Coyote at Blyth Park in Bothell. It's a quick ten holes and is beginner friendly! If you are looking for discs, let us know! We have some you can borrow!
You probably know all about this one! From far away it looks like a UFO is floating over the Seattle Skyline, but from up top you are in store for some beautiful views. We recommend doing the 2 pack tickets to also visit the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum.
When our human Bethany came to see Seattle for the first time she accidentally stumbled into the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum and now recommends it to anyone who comes to visit. It's a small museum but will leave you amazed! If you have ever been to the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, you may see some familiar pieces!
The Underground Seattle tour is a great thing to do on a rainy day. It gives you a fun history of the city. We guarantee you'll learn something new, even old dogs can learn new tricks!
Our humans LOVE food! Below here are a few of their favorite local restaurants:
Woodinville is known for having many wine tasting rooms! You really can't go wrong but some of our favorites are JM Cellars and Goose Ridge. Cheers!
Elevated bar food right next to the famous Woodinville Whiskey Distillery. Also has a fun fire pit that is great to hang out at on a summer's night!
The best fried pickles in town, enough said!
A fun spot for a beer with rotating food trucks. Also dog friendly, so of course one of our top picks!
If you're looking for Sunday brunch, look no further! Reservations highly recommended.
Saint Bread is one of our human's favorite places to get a pastry! Their cardamom knots have inspired our human Bethany to try baking them at home. If the real ones taste half as good as her's smell at home, you're in for a real treat!
A mix of Mexican cuisine and what the PNW has to offer, plus tacos galore!
