What will the weather be like this time of year?
Answer
Fingers crossed, we'll have peak foliage. So there should be a lot of gorgeous leaves to look at. But that also means the air will be a bit crisp. We are thinking it might get up to 60 during the day with the sun, but then it will probably drop at night to 40. So don't forget some cozy sweaters!

Are kids welcome?
Answer
Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restricted numbers. However, if you can't find childcare, let us know and we can work something out!

What if I need special diet options?
Answer
Just get in touch with Jess or Kevin if you have any special dietary needs! The chef at the venue is very talented and is able to accommodate. For the reception dinner, there will be a vegetarian option available.

Do seniors get discounted passes to Acadia National Park?
Answer
Yes, they do! The government has a great program where you can pay a flat fee and then have access to all national parks for the rest of your life. Check it out here https://store.usgs.gov/lifetime-senior-pass

Will transportation be provided to the ceremony?
Answer
Unfortunately not. However, if you aren't staying at Atlantic Oceanside, don't worry. Most of the other hotels in Bar Harbor are within ~3 miles and there are taxis in the area. You'll just want to call the taxi service or schedule your Lyft/Uber ahead of time to make sure you can get one.

What COVID protocols will be taken?
Answer
We ask that all guests are vaccinated and boosted for the wedding. The wedding will be outdoors, weather permitting.

Can I take the centerpieces home as a souvenir?
Answer
Of course!! We are trying to limit the waste at our wedding so if people can take them back home to reuse, that would be ideal! Also your place cards will be made out of seed paper. This means you can take them home, put them under a layer of soil and water, and some wildflowers will grow!

Can I take photos during the wedding?
Answer
We will have a professional photographer there capturing every moment, so don't feel like you need to. However, if you want to, feel free! You can post them all to a shared Dropbox afterward! (We'll make sure everyone has the link.)

Are the ceremony and reception wheelchair-accessible?
Answer
Yes. The ceremony and reception will all be held outside. The bathrooms will be inside on the ground floor. If you have any concerns, don't hesitate to call the hotel. They are very friendly and aware of accessibility concerns.

What happens to the leftover food?
Answer
Any uneaten food will go home with the hotel staff so nothing is wasted.

How can I tip the bartenders?
Answer
We'll have a QR code at the bar that you can scan to Venmo the bartenders. Cash works too!
