Things To Do

When we visited Charleston in 2019 for our first anniversary, we fell in love with its charm, history, and, of course, cocktails. We know you'll love it just as much as we do ♡

Charleston City Market

188 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29401

The City Market is open 365 days a year, and showcases local Charleston vendors. With construction beginning in 1804, it's a wonderful spot to tempt yourself with a souvenir purchase. Mark fell victim to a painting of Rainbow Row.

Williams Mansion (formerly Calhoun Mansion)

16 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29401

Open to public tours, and once considered the, "handsomest and most complete private residence in the South," this mansion boasts a collection of art and architecture embodies the extravagance of wealthy industrialists of the late 1800's.

The Battery

2 Murray Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29401

Fantastic spot to go on a walk and experience antebellum style homes. Mark intends to purchase one of these homes, the next time the lottery payout exceeds $1.3B.

Rainbow Row

803 East Bay Street, Charleston, SC 29403

The colorful pretty houses that you'd think of if you have ever Googled "Charleston," or alternatively, "Kaitlyn McMahon In House Form." Please give Mark 24 hours notice, and he can lend out his selfie stick or Polaroid Camera (film not included).

The Gin Joint

182 East Bay Street, Charleston, SC 29401

Perfect cocktail bar for the indecisive. Choose 2 adjectives from their list of cocktail flavors, and the bartender will prepare you a drink of that classification. Reach out to Mark if you want to learn of some adjectives that do NOT pair well together (ex: smoky & unusual).

The Vendue

19 Vendue Range, Charleston, SC 29401

2 words: Rooftop Bar

Coast Bar & Grill

39d John Street, Charleston, SC 29403

This din din received a stamp of approval from Chicagoland's two biggest (self-proclaimed) foodies. If you're concerned that this restaurant will not live up to your expectations, we recommend that you split a bottle of vino prior.

Park & Grove

730 Rutledge Avenue, Charleston, SC 29403

Perfect spot for breakfast/lunch, or as we like to call it, "Brunch".
