We met for the very first time in 2015 at our healthy lifestyles retreat as we were becoming freshman at St. Francis Borgia High School. Mary noticed Mason dancing with his friends at homecoming and immediately started snapchatting Mason. At first, he wouldn't respond, until Mary became persistent and from there, we spent every night staying up late talking about anything and everything. We spent the weekdays together (at school) and the weekends going to the movies, getting snow cones, hanging out at Lions Lake, and so much more. We went to two homecomings and prom together and graduated high school with each other in 2019. After graduation, Mary continued living at home, went to East Central College to work on her prerequisites for nursing school, continued being an assistant teacher at her former dance studio, and worked at Marshalls in her spare time. Mason moved to Saint Louis to attend Ranken Technical College to work towards his degree in Controls System Technology. We moved into our first apartment together in June of 2020 after Mary decided to attend Maryville University to continue her nursing school prerequisites and Mason was still attending Ranken. In 2020 we got out first puppy, Luna! Mary got accepted to Goldfarb School of Nursing and Mason graduated from Ranken and started working at GAT Finishing Systems in 2022. We moved into our second apartment in 2021 and stayed there until Mary's last month of nursing school. In 2023, we decided that it was time to move back home to be closer to our family and friends. We found our dream house and became homeowners at 22. Mary graduated nursing school, passed her NCLEX, and became a Registered Nurse at St. Louis Children's Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Mary has been working at this job for over a year now and Mason is now working as an Electrical Engineer at GAT. Our favorite thing to do with each other is travel. We have been to Florida twice (we have been to Universal Studios and Disney World because of our love for Harry Potter, Star Wars, and all things Disney), Georgia (this is where Mary's favorite show, The Vampire Diaries, was filmed), Chicago, Wisconsin, Las Vegas, and Tennessee twice. Our latest trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee in March of 2023 will forever be our favorite trip. We spent the days exploring, going to museums, mini golfing, shopping, eating yummy food, and so much more. On 3-24-24, we decided to go on a hike. We found an overlook with a beautiful view and Mason got down on one knee and asked Mary to spend forever with him. We can't wait to continue living our lives together and we are beyond excited to make it official on May 17, 2025!
