We started out as friends–close, genuine, and always there for each other. He knew early on that there was something more, but he kept it to himself, never wanting to risk the friendship we had. Time passed, and our bond only grew stronger. Eventually, something shifted. What once was unspoken slowly became undeniable, and our friendship blossomed into the love story it was always meant to be. Now, we’re getting married–proof that sometimes the best relationships start with a solid foundation of friendship (and a little bit of patience).

We got engaged in Carmel, one of our favorite places along the coast. What seemed like a regular photo shoot quickly turned into something we’d remember forever. One of us thought we were just there for pictures–while the other had been planning a surprise for months. In the middle of it all, Klay got down on one knee. The moment was full of love, happy tears, and total surprise. It was more than we ever could have hoped for, and we’ll cherish it forever.
