We first met in 2018 in high school Spanish class. What started as a simple friendship quickly turned into something neither of us expected. We stayed close friends, spending time together and building a connection that only grew stronger over the years. Of course, like any great love story, there were plenty of awkward moments in the beginning. Our entire friend group seemed to know we liked each other before we were ready to admit it ourselves. Everyone could see what was happening.....except us. Then in 2020, everything changed. Elson finally made the first move, and on March 22, 2020, our friendship became something even more special. Since then, we’ve spent years growing up side by side, learning, laughing, and building a life together. From high school friends to future newlyweds, our story has been nearly a decade in the making. And now, on March 22, 2027, the anniversary of the day we started, we get to say “I do.” Some stories are worth the wait.
