We met in Nashville on the 3rd floor of a crowded bar. Nicole was in town to celebrate her birthday, and coincidentally so was Tayler. Tayler asked to buy Nicole a drink, and then for her number, and our story began. The following night, Tayler ditched his friends to find Nicole. We spent the evening dancing, laughing, and drinking the night away. By the end of the weekend, we discovered a small twist: neither of us actually lived in Nashville. Nicole lived in Atlanta, Georgia, and Tayler lived in Carmel, Indiana. What started as texting quickly turned into nightly FaceTimes. A month later, Tayler was on a flight to Atlanta, and a month after that, Nicole flew to Indiana. That’s when we decided to give long distance a shot. With Atlanta and Carmel being so far apart, Tennessee became our perfect halfway point. We spent many weekends escaping to cozy cabins, hiking, and enjoying time together. It’s where we fell in love. After a year and a half of long distance, we moved to Austin, TX, to start a life together. Another year and a half later, Tayler proposed on a beautiful hike. Now, here we are, getting married in Tennessee, the place that holds so many special memories and played a huge role in our story.
