We're Getting Married!

We first met at a Patriots tailgate around the same time in September we will be tying the knot! Thayana had come to the game with a mutual friend of ours and we spent some time laughing and drinking cheap beer before we went off in separate directions to our seats. Thought maybe never to see each other again. Apparently both of us had some questions for our friend about who that "cutie" was and if we could hang out again. Well after a get together at a house party and a date at Nick's favorite Hibachi restaurant we could definitely tell we had a one of a kind connection. Who would have thought two people from such different worlds could fall in love. After that we booked a flight to the Keys and the rest is history. __________________________________________________________________________________ Nós nos encontramos pela primeira vez em um jogo do Patriots na mesma época em Setembro que estaremos nos casando! Thayana foi ao jogo com uma amiga em comum e passamos algum tempo rindo e tomando cerveja antes de sairmos em direções separadas para nossos assentos. Pensamos que nunca mais íamos nos ver. Aparentemente, nós dois tínhamos algumas perguntas para nossa amiga sobre quem era aquela "lindinha" e se poderíamos sair novamente. Bem, depois de nos reencontramos em uma festa com amigos e um jantar no restaurante de Hibachi japonês favorito de Nick, percebemos que definitivamente tínhamos uma conexão única. Quem pensaria que duas pessoas de mundos tão diferentes poderiam se apaixonar. Depois disso, reservamos um voo para o Key West e o resto é história.

We finally decided to use that gift card my crazy aunt gave us for a hotel room in Portsmouth, NH. That was the excuse at least. We drove up on a beautiful afternoon in May of 2019 to downtown Portsmouth. We stopped to eat and maybe have a couple drinks before we checked in to get ready for our surprise diner plans. The plan was to go for a walk down by the water and find a good spot to get on one knee and ask for this beautiful girls hand in marriage. It wasn't east to convince Thay that I wanted to go for a walk on the pier instead of sit in a cigar bar but she followed me anyway and with my heart racing I did the deed. With tears in her eyes and shock on her face she was able to get out a "YES"! ____________________________________________________________________________________ Finalmente decidimos usar o gift-card que minha tia louca nos deu para Hotel bem bacana em Portsmouth, NH. Essa era a desculpa pelo menos. Dirigimos em uma linda tarde em Maio de 2019 para o centro de Portsmouth. Paramos para almoçar  e tomar alguns drinks antes de fazer o check-in e nos preparar para meus planos de um jantar surpresa. O plano era dar um passeio a beira mar e encontrar um bom lugar para me ajoelhar e pedir essa linda mulher em casamento. Não foi fácil convencer a Thay de que eu queria dar uma volta no píer em vez de me sentar em um cigar bar , mas ela me seguiu de qualquer maneira e com o coração disparado, eu agi! Com lágrimas nos olhos e choque no rosto, saiu um trêmulo "SIM"!
