As we all know, the dating world today is completely different than the normal initial meeting someone in person. We matched on a dating app at the end of November 2023, after a week of talking 24/7, we met in person 12/01/23. That same day, Edson asked me to be his girlfriend. From that day on, we became inseparable. Some may say, it’s too soon to want to spend forever with a person you’ve only known for a short period of time, but to us, we knew what we wanted and we found it all in eachother.

Edson and I briefly talked about marriage and knew that’s what we wanted with eachother one day. Little did I know, it was going to come way sooner than expected. A little backstory, Edson’s birthday is February 22nd and we had a great time on his day. So, leading up to my birthday, he expressed a lot of excitement, which I didn’t think too much of, because it’s the norm for him to surprise me with things, I thought it was just a birthday battle. On my birthday March 13th, he set up a few sweet surprises leading up to the biggest surprise of the night. I am a person who loves frames, so he led me to see a 4 picture frame that held pictures of us and in the last slot, it was empty and there was tape over some wording. As I ripped off the tape, it unveiled the words “this spot is reserved for what comes next, will you marry me? Yes or No”. I was completely caught off guard and in shock. After taking what seemed like eternity to process what I was reading, I said YES! When I turned around, there was Edson on one knee with a beautiful ring in his hand.

Geany: When I met Edson, he immediately gave me sense of security. It’s not often you’re lucky enough to find a person that brings you peace, care, and so much love. He has become my safe haven, a great support system, and my best friend. Edson: The first time I met Geany I was in awe, this was because I felt like I found a genuine person. Geany to me seemed like someone who had a lot to offer but could not see just how special or beautiful she was. At that moment of figuring out who she was and that she was selling herself short, I made it my life goal to make her shine so bright even she would notice.
