On the surface, it seems like an ordinary story. With our colleges separated by seven minutes of commute time, our paths were destined to cross. What started as a friend request on Black Berry Messenger (sent by Shana), evolved over the next 8 years to see almost every stage of a relationship including: - A Friendship - A Just Talking(ship) - An "It's Complicated(ship) - A YouDoYouAndI'llDoMe(ship) - A Long Distance Relationship - Couple Goals - And Now Engaged! The power in our story is not necessarily in the initial meeting but in the journey that has brought us to this moment. Climbing the Grand Canyon with ripped pants, random photo shoots in 3 degree weather, viral Halloween costumes and dancing on stage with Keith Sweat. (Nloh's the one who ripped his pants by the way). Our journey is finding our way to love in dark times and unlocking the lessons and joys of sacrifice with each step we take. Our journey is the never ending wheel of compromise, mixed with the coldest Milly Rock in the Midwest. This is not a love neither of us expected or maybe even deserved but it is a love we will cherish always.
