Simple but an unforgettable memory on our first trip abroad in Bangkok, Thailand
We knew each other back in highschool days. However, we hadn't talked until we were assigned in the same room for our Highschool Graduation Exam as our names all start with the "T". I helped him with English test (which was my major back in the day) during the exam as we were sitting close. However, he could not help me with Chemistry (which I was bad at back then but he was a national Chemistry champion) though. After the exams, he started posting comments on my facebook page and we started getting to know each other more. We stayed long-distance and made it official when I graduated from from University!
For me, the most memorable date we had was our first one. When I was in Vietnam for Tet's holiday, I went to Ho Chi Minh City for a conference. He was currently trained as a resident neurosurgeon in Ho Chi Minh City at the time. He was having an 10-hour surgery on that date but he still managed to make time to see me. We just went a quick dinner then a movie :p
Well I would say it was Bangkok where we could hold hands and walk down the streets together (as you know it was hard walking in Vietnam street :p). I was always thinking of it when I was in Brisbane, having someone walking and just enjoying the scenes with me. We explored everything together and it was also his first trip abroad.
We both moved away from cities where if we stayed, we would have prospered in our career. However, because of each other, we decided to move back to where we first met. I believe that by having each other, we could still make it, make our dreams come true and build a good future!
