Golconda is a fortified citadel and ruined city located on the western outskirts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Thanvi and her family always enjoy a walk through the fort, and stop for a little picnic to take in the views and architecture
The Qutub Shahi tombs are a series of Islamic tombs and mosques built by the various kings of the Qutub Shahi dynasty, located in the Ibrahim Bagh, close to the famous Golconda Fort in Hyderabad, in the Hyderabad district of the state of Telangana, India. This was actually one of the first sights Nikeen saw when visiting Thanvi in Hyderabad and we loved it!
The palace allows you to step back in time and experience the grandeur of the Nizams. You can explore the lavishly decorated rooms, walk the grand staircase, and imagine yourself as a guest of the royal family. Here you can go for an afternoon tea or dinner experience where you enjoy great food, views, and a tour of the palace - Nikeen and Thanvi enjoyed an afternoon tea here with Thanvi's cousins and it was one of Nikeen's highlights of the India trip!
Chowmahalla Palace or Chowmahallat is the palace of the Nizams of Hyderabad State - It was the seat of power of the Asaf Jahi dynasty and was the official residence of the Nizams during their reign. This is another beautiful palace that you could explore the grounds for! This is also in the old city if you'd like to explore both Charminar and this palace
