We first met on a night of dancing. As the night unfolded, we found ourselves drawn to the dance floor, determined to meet. We danced the night away, and as the night came to an end, we both eagerly anticipated our next encounter. We returned to that same dance floor multiple times that summer, until Christopher finally worked up the courage to ask Thanh out on a date. We met up a few times that summer, but ultimately, our paths diverged. Christopher left Atlanta, while Thanh remained. Years passed, and Christopher eventually found his way back to Atlanta. Throughout that time, they both couldn’t help but wonder what could have been. A year after Christopher’s return, he was determined to pursue Thanh. He made an effort to be out or in the same places she was. He was always too nervous to talk to her in person, but the mere sight of her always managed to put a smile on his face. Finally, he gathered the courage to ask her out, but she was living her best life and wasn’t interested in giving him a chance. Throughout much of 2018 and 2019, Thanh received messages from Christopher, inviting her to meet. If she responded, it was always a resounding no. Later in 2019, in a moment of impulsivity, she finally agreed to be his date for a charity gala. They had a great time that night, but Thanh wasn’t sure what Christopher wanted and decided to wait a few months before going out with him again. Their second date was a Brett Young concert, In case you didn't know... After this they started seeing each other more frequently. In February of 2020, they embarked on their first road trip together, partying down Broadway Street in Nashville. From there, the pandemic hit, and they decided to quarantine together. It was during this time that their love blossomed. They learned more about each other and developed a deep sense of care for one another. Fast forward to 2024, Christopher had an opportunity to move to Texas for a job opportunity. Although this was a significant change for Thanh, she was there by his side. In November of that year, Christopher convinced Thanh’s bridesmaid, Carmen, to cut their impromptu trip to Japan short. They were scheduled to return on Friday, November 8th. That night, Thanh surprised Christopher with a Cartier ring. He playfully asked, “How did you buy me a ring before I got you one?” The next day, Thanh and Christopher attended an Omakase lunch at NoriNori. They had met the head chef several weeks earlier and were “promoting” their Instagram account. Omakase has always held a special place in the hearts of Thanh and Christopher. As they sat in seats numbered six and seven, the chef announced that he had one more course to present. He brought out a plate adorned with a box. Christopher stood up, took Thanh’s hand, and got down on one knee. Tears streamed down his face as he asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Without a moment’s hesitation, Thanh enthusiastically replied, “YES!”
