Maid of Honor
Korinne and Taylor met after a candidate event for Mu Phi Epsilon (a co-ed, professional music fraternity) at UNT in Spring 2016 and the rest was history. A serendipitous conversation sparked a series of 'wait, you like that too?' exchanges, leading to four shared National Novel Writing Months, many coffeehouse hangs, and a friendship built on some of the best things-- Jesus, tea, and writing.
Best Man
Matthew and Jonathan are not only brothers by birth but also brothers through life. From all-nighters playing video games, watching countless shows and corny movies. From spending long hours on car work, woodworking, playing all the sports, writing music, (or just jamming the same song endlessly) they are teammates through it all!
Bridesmaid
Isabelle and Taylor met (virtually) in April 2015, after they were both added to a groupchat for incoming Music Education majors at UNT. They met in person over a PBJ sandwich before the first day of Green Brigade marching camp, rushed Mu Phi Epsilon together, and engaged in general shenanigans during all their classes, much to Dr. Williams, Professor Fisher, and Dr. Gerrard's chagrin... or amusement, depending on who you ask.
Groomsman
Chris and Jonathan met in fourth grade through Upward Basketball at NFWBC. Through fierce and uncoordinated competition they learned that their hopes for the NBA would not be realized, but that they still loved hanging out together. Through attending the same church for the past 16 years they have built a friendship on video games, spending Sundays watching football, playing board games, and watching every superhero movie together. Taylor still feels like she's third-wheeling at times.
Bridesmaid
Taylor was Melinda's section leader in the North Texas Green Brigade, but their friendship didn't really start until they shared a picnic in the back of Taylor's car before a night rehearsal. Taylor then proceeded to drag Melinda to as many music fraternity events as humanly possible. Melinda is Taylor's 'little' in Mu Phi Epsilon and a close friend, too! They enjoy swapping stories about their students and talking about all things clarinet and pie.
Groomsman
Nate began teaching Jonathan's life group his junior year of high school and continued to teach him through college. They have shared many precious growing moments, life experiences, and mission trips. Outside of life group, they have built a strong friendship through board games, bad movies, video games, and all things Baptist.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and Taylor met at UNT's ClarEssentials summer camp in 2014 and reunited at their College of Music audition day in February 2015. The two only children decided to room together for all four years at UNT, which turned out to be the best kind of chaos. After being in the same performing ensembles for the majority of their time at school, some of the grad students kept mixing them up. Two dorms and an apartment later, their friendship is still strong as ever... as is their taste in clarinet jokes.
Groomsman
Jake and Jonathan aren't entirely sure when they met at NFWBC, but they have been able to build a strong friendship off of it anyways! Through many years of serving the church youth group, they have built a bond through mission trips, leading worship together, playing disc golf, video games, and serving in all things church. If there is anything worth mentioning about the Texas Rangers, they are assuredly ranting about it!
Bridesmaid
Like most friendships that come out of the UNT College of Music, Taylor and Faith Ann met during Faith Ann's first rehearsal with the Green Brigade Marching Band, where Taylor was a field tech for the flute section. While we're not exactly sure who adopted who, the pair spent many nights, Saturdays, and a Thanksgiving talking all things faith, music, and life. Faith Ann is Taylor's grandlittle in Mu Phi Epsilon and is a close friend, too.
Groomsman
What started with an Optimus Prime joke in middle school turned into over a decade of leading worship, all things percussion, countless hours of Xbox Live, and making extremely awkward jokes together. Some might say they have a bond that most people will never experience. What started as friendship turned into cousinship and they make sure everyone knows of their pseudo relation.
Bridesmaid
Taylor and Abby met at some point during Spring 2016, which was their Candidate semester for Mu Phi Epsilon. They were both participants in the Wasper Flute Quartet-- Abby as a musician and Taylor as the coach. They quickly bonded after attending Tuesday night church services for the majority of their time at UNT, which led to many discussions about theology, music education, and the value of a good word of encouragement.
