Our story began on a rainy Saturday in a coffee shop in downtown Silver Spring at a small space called Kaldis. In all actuality, our first interaction was on a dating app called Hinge. After plans to attend the DC Christmas market fell through due to Thaddeaus having a fever, things took a quick turn Friday night when plans were made to go to breakfast. It was during that rainy, chilly December Saturday morning that we sat and talked about our faith and plans for the holiday. Little did we know we were speaking with our future spouses. Many dates later and a move across the country for Thaddeaus, our love was put to the test. What initially started as a great career opportunity proved to be an actual test of what our love could withstand. The story of our love is one that always trusts - in the wonderful purposes and plans that God has for our lives. One that always hopes – in the promise that what God begins, He will faithfully bring to completion. And one that always perseveres – through every season anchored in our commitment to making Christ the center of all we do and the foundation of our relationship and future marriage. The move that tested our love became what ultimately solidified it. Shortly after Sumalee moved to Texas, Thaddeaus proposed on a sunny February 2, 2025, afternoon! In the same month that we met, three years later, we look forward to sharing the love we have with you, our family, and our friends!
