Where is the event?

Answer

Our wedding and reception will take place inside Kala Art Institute's Gallery at 2990 San Pablo Ave in Berkeley. The Gallery is easily accessible via car, rideshare, and bus. If you will be traveling from BART, please note that the walk from Ashby BART to Kala is roughly 30-40 minutes depending on walking pace.

The entire wedding celebration will take place inside Kala Art Institute's Gallery.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

While we would love to welcome everyone, space is limited. Please refrain from bringing an additional guest unless previously discussed.

What are the food options?

Answer

We selected a variety of both meat and vegetarian/vegan dishes from Aburaya, you can view their catering menu here: https://aburayaoakland.com/ All food provided by Aburaya is gluten-free. If you'd like to check in further about dietary restrictions or allergies, please reach out to us.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Attire will be wedding casual. (AKA Wear what makes you feel good! We won't stop you from arriving in a full LOOK - in fact, we encourage it.)

Where do we park?

Answer

There is a parking lot with 24/7 security behind the building (directly in front of Berkeley Bowl West, entrance and exit at Ashby Ave.) where you may park for free. The lot is closed to the public in the evenings. Additionally, there is plenty of free street parking around Kala's building on San Pablo, Heinz, and the neighborhoods. Please reach out to us with any questions regarding parking.

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

Yes! We have a registry linked on the wedding website, but will welcome any gifts (or just well wishes!) if you feel inclined. We're just happy to have you here.

If we are traveling from out of state, where should we stay?

Answer

There are a variety of hotels off of San Pablo Ave in Berkeley, as well as a slew of airbnb options. Staying near Kala Art Institute would be best, but staying anywhere in Southwest or Downtown Berkeley is great.
