FAQs

If you have any other questions, please give us a buzz and we’ll help you out!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

1 October 2024… but we would love you to confirm earlier if possible!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yep: Semi formal. Wear something you feel great in, and would happily play Finska in. Ties optional.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

4:15pm will get you in before show time, and we’ll have some drinks running beforehand to make it worth your while!

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

The best gift you can give us is your attendance on the day; we really do mean it! We know it’s a big ask to travel to attend, and we will treasure the time and effort you take in helping us celebrate. Bring us a card with your well wishes and we’ll be thrilled!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We’re bringing ours, you’re welcome to bring yours! Our only ask: if your little one decides to have a meltdown or a party during the ceremony, please take your little one for a short walk so we can fully enjoy the moment.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please let us know via your RSVP. If in doubt, contact us to confirm your dietary requirements.

Question

Is there parking on site?

Answer

There sure is!

Question

Can I Uber there?

Answer

You’re welcome to give it a crack, but please note that there is a very limited supply on the island (i.e. sometimes none at all). We’d recommend getting on our bus, or driving yourself.

Question

How do I get on board the bus?

Answer

Let us know that you’re keen for the bus and where you’re staying and we’ll arrange the rest.

Question

Can my kid get on the bus?

Answer

Sure can! Please note that the bus company does not have car seats and we can’t install our own. Per VicRoads regulations, children inside buses with more than 12 seating positions are not required to use child restraints or booster seats. VicRoads recommends that child restraints and booster seats are used in buses where possible. As a minimum the children should use the seat belts provided.

Question

What other activities are planned for the weekend?

Answer

We’ve got a few additional activities happening on either side of the big day: - Friday 15 November: We’re planning to have a very relaxed dinner at North Pier Hotel from 6:30pm. They don’t take bookings but we’ll try snag a few tables, feel free to drop by whenever suits you. - Sunday 17 November: We’re hosting a recovery brunch at Tess’ parents place in Surf Beach from 9:30am. Come past for coffee and pastries, and maybe some lawn or board games if you’re up to it. Both of these activities are very optional, so no stress if you can’t make it. We know there are a few babysitters and family members coming to help out with kids, all are absolutely welcome to come along to either of these mini events.
