Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail

Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail, Atlanta, GA

The Atlanta Beltline is a walking trail that circles the City and can be accessed at Piedmont Park. For those who want to get some exercise, it is an easy walk on flat surfaces that will take you to several interesting neighborhoods. One preferred destination is Ponce City Market, a revitalization of a former Sears catalogue facility which is comprised of a mix of boutiques, national and local retailers, several restaurants, a food hall and abundant outdoor spaces to relax. It is about 2.5 miles by car and 2 miles by foot from The Starling Hotel and Colony Square.

World of Coca-Cola

The museum follows the development and history of Coke and includes interactive displays and a “Taste It” venue where guests can sample flavors from products developed for specific international cultural preferences.

Georgia Aquarium

225 Baker Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30313

The Georgia Aquarium is the largest in North America and, until recently, it was the largest in the world. It exhibits hundreds of species and thousands of animals residing in more than 11 million gallons of water, including Beluga Whales, Whale Sharks and several other varieties of sharks, penguins and more.

Atlanta Botanical Garden

1345 Piedmont Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30309

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is an urban oasis in the heart of midtown. The Garden’s 30 acres of impressive plant collections, beautiful displays and spectacular exhibitions make it one of the loveliest places in the city to visit. During our wedding weekend, the Garden will feature an October “Scarecrows in the Garden” theme with dozens of handcrafted art works scattered throughout.

The High Museum of Art

Originally designed by Richard Meier with an expansion by Renzo Piano, The High is an architectural gem in its own right. The Museum has a fine collection and currently is showcasing an exhibition on Paris, 1850–1920. The exhibition is described as serving “as a guide through the architecture, people, and culture of the dynamic, visionary French capital during the latter half of the nineteenth century and into the twentieth century.”

The Martin Luther King National Park

The Martin Luther King National Park encompasses exhibitions on segregation and the March on Washington, his “I Have a Dream” speech, his birth home, and the famous Ebenezer Baptist Church where he worshipped and preached.
