Our Story

We met in a bar on Broadway in Nashville TN... Tess was there celebrating her friend’s 21st birthday, and Jacq was in town for some rest and relaxation after training in Louisiana. Tess and her friends ended up in the last, nearly empty bar of the night just as Jacq and his friends were starting theirs. When one of Jacq’s friends was denied entry to their bar, he wandered elsewhere. Jacq followed to make sure he was ok—only to forget that mission the moment he saw Tess standing with her friends in that random bar. Tess saw Jacq literally make a beeline for her, showing off his now-famous dad dancing. Tess was convinced his accent was fake because why would an Irishman be in Nashville wearing a Carhartt tshirt and ball cap? Ten minutes later, Jacq tried to kiss her and was quickly denied—but earned a proper date the next day. After three days together, they went long-distance. FaceTimes, letters, and flights to each other will soon be over when Tess moves to the UK in August 2026!!
