It all started with the prompt on Connor’s dating app profile “A fun fact I know is that we know more about outer space than the deep ocean”. Tess responded to this with “tell me a fact you know about space” and Connor delivered! They decided to go on a date shortly after this and Connor was faced with another test: win over Tess’ dog Murphy… and, once again, Connor delivered (Connor and Murphy are now inseparable). Tess and Connor bonded over their shared love of Minneapolis, iced vanilla lattes, traveling and the comfort TV shows they re-watch. Over time, as the pair continued to grow together as a couple, they decided it was time to talk about marriage. Connor pulled off the ultimate surprise and proposed at Afton State Park, one of Tess’ favorite hiking spots, with Murphy by their side.
