We first met at Bowling Green State University, where we were both social studies education majors. Since we had many of the same classes, our paths crossed often, but it wasn’t until senior year that things really began. A professor paired us up for a special teaching project, and that’s when we really got to know each other. We clicked instantly and started hanging out more, mostly bonding over late-night laughs and rounds of Town of Salem. After graduation, life pulled us in different directions. Tessa moved to Charles County, Maryland, to start her teaching career as Zach continued his education. We both got swept up in our busy lives. A year passed, but we never stopped wondering how the other was doing. Then, fate stepped in. Zach landed a job in Charles County too. We reconnected, started spending time together again, and quickly realized that the spark had never really gone away. The rest, as they say, is history.
