Hey y'all, I know we haven't provided much of an update on our wedding since the Covid situation began. We've been waiting and hoping that things would die down but realistically it is probably safe to assume that we will be unable to have the large wedding that we had hoped for. Although this has been very difficult and confusing at times, we have decided to cancel the reception at this time. We will still be getting married sacramentally on May 23rd 2020, however, this will be limited to very few guests. Of course, the situation is constantly evolving and if anything changes in the social distancing guidelines we will reach out to you directly and let you know. For now we have reserved the ceremony for a very small number of close family members. We hope that you all will continue to pray for us as we enter into married life and we want you to know that you will all be in our hearts and our prayers as well. We hope to throw a larger reception later next summer so be on the lookout for those announcements, hopefully in the following months. With that being said, we are still planning on getting married on May 23rd so we will be linking our registry to this status. We were unable to send out all of our invitations so we thought this would be effective. We are moving into our very empty apartment and anything off our registry would be a great help: https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/giftregistry/viewregistryguest/547894444?fbclid=IwAR3rs7C-ewX9-mB-Feubc6iOf1EUYjKdZdVvIW_BEUmF47I2Phk3-d-E3fs Again, thank you all for your love and support and to all the other engaged couples in a similar situation, we are wishing you the best. Please feel free to share this information with anyone who was invited to the wedding but may not have access to our website.. With love, Paul & Tessa
We met our freshmen year of college through some mutual friends and hit it off right away! The conversation was effortless and it felt like we had been friends for years, so much so that we stayed up talking that night until 6 am! After that day we spent the next month investing in our friendship until we made it official on October 3rd, 2016. The next three years have been some of the best of our lives and we couldn't be happier to celebrate our love story with all of you.
On the night we met we talked for hours in front of the grotto at Benedictine. It's one of our favorite places on campus because it's a beautiful place of prayer and faith, something central to our relationship. Paul proposed at the grotto with candles and roses and I was absolutely awe struck by the amount of thought and detail he put in to the proposal to make it so special. It is a day we will cherish forever and we want to thank you all for being part of our story as we enter into this lifelong commitment of love.
