Nick had been sliding into my inbox for some time, a few comments on pictures here and there, but nothing worth breaking the polite exchange routine over, until he hit me with this one-liner. Snapchat filters were all the craze in the 2010s, and I had used the "deer filter" on a selfie one winter day when the message "Damn reindeer, you sleighinnnn!" came into my inbox. Once I read it, well, the rest is.... the reason we are all on this website!!! Over the last 8 years, we have done a LOT of different things together. Together we have: traveled to 9 countries, 21 states, 8 unique New Year's Drops, & walked across 2 graduation stages. Many of you have been able to witness all the growth, challenges, tears, cheers, and fun we've had together firsthand. This celebration of us has been many years in the works. With us both working in the wedding industry, we were already ahead of the curve when it came to finding the best vendors and planning the important details of the day. We were so ahead that we've actually been planning this wedding for 2 years now. This venue in particular is very special to us, and why we started planning so early. This is the venue that Nick and I were both working at when we officially decided to give "Us" a go. Chinesgut Hill is more than a venue to us, it's the setting for the first chapter of our story. How could we miss out on an opportunity to reuse it for the next volume in our love story?
