Things To Do

Music on Main and Music in the Mountains

There is "Music on Main" on Thursday night in downtown Bozeman, or "Music in the Mountains" on Thursday night up in Big Sky! We frequently go to both, and love them!

Big Sky Country State Fair

901 North Black Avenue, Bozeman, MT 59715

Big Sky Fair is the wedding weekend! Enjoy!

Yellowstone National Park

You can enter the park through two entrances. There is a nice loop through the park, this ends up being a full day trip! Make sure you don't pet the fluffy cows! North Entrance (Gardiner, MT): ~78–80 miles, 1.5–2 hours from Bozeman. Best for accessing Mammoth Hot Springs. West Entrance (West Yellowstone, MT): ~89–97 miles, 1 hour 48 min to 2 hours from Bozeman. This is the "scenic route". Best for accessing Old Faithful and Madison Junction.

South Cottonwood Trailhead

Bozeman, MT 59065

Great hike, make sure to pack bear spray, Montana is bear country. We recommend turning around at the second bridge, about 4 miles round trip.

Peets Hill/Burke Park

429 East Story Street, Bozeman, MT 59715

A nice walk in town, you get up to a pretty view of Bozeman and it is pretty easy! We usually do this hike after eating at one of the many wonderful Bozeman restaurants!

Hyalite Lake

MT 59047

A great place for fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking or hiking! There are walking trails along the lake as well. For short, easy hikes we recommend Palisade Falls or Grotto Falls! There are plenty of more challenging hikes up that way as well.

Museum of the Rockies

600 West Kagy Boulevard, Bozeman, MT 59717

For the space and dinosaur lovers! A popular tourist destination!
