We met on my first day as a dispatcher. A day filled with nerves, new faces, and so many things to learn. In the middle of it all, there he was: calm, confident, and incredibly welcoming. From the way he spoke, I could tell he knew exactly what he was doing, and somehow, that made me feel instantly at ease. He made it very clear from the start that he was always available if I had questions... and as it turns out, I had quite a few. Along with some very frequent "computer problems" that only he could fix. To this day, I manage to "misplace files" and "forget how to save" things. But the truth is, I simply love being around Jordan. I feel incredibly lucky for so many things in life, but meeting Jordan was unforgettable.
Tessa and I first met on her very first day as a dispatcher. And I’ll be honest, her beauty immediately caught my attention. But what truly stayed with me was her professionalism, her confidence, and the way she carried herself. She had a presence that was simply impossible to ignore. Not long after that, I found myself making quite a few “necessary” trips to the dispatch center for "computer issues". Tessa knew that I could fix a lot of the issues with computers and took advantage of that, which to this day I am thankful for. It’s amazing how life works that way... how the simplest moments can lead to something so extraordinary. Never in a million years could I have imagined that those early days would lead me here, getting to take her hand and marry the love of my life.
We took a vacation to Jordan's late grandfather’s cabin in Minnesota, a place that has always meant a great deal to him. What Tessa didn’t know was Jordan had the ring with him for the entire trip, with an original plan to propose on the 4th of July at a firework show over the lake. The 4th was rainy and windy, and the show was cancelled. Time for Jordan's plan B. On the 10th it was beautiful. We spent the day fishing, boating, and jet skiing. After all the fun, we just sat on the patio, enjoying the view of Ottertail Lake as the sun went down. It was a calm, peaceful evening at the cabin, the day Jordan knew he had been waiting for. Jordan took Tess by the hand and gently led her down the dock. At the very end, surrounded by still water and quiet night air, he got down on one knee. A moment we'll never forget. Without hesitation, she said yes. It was the best days of our lives and a memory we will always cherish.
