Boy meets girl. Girl meets boy. Boy invites girl to party he is attending. Boy gets drunk and kisses girl. Girl is so excited about the kiss, but boy gets very shy and embarrassed for the next 48hrs. Girl knows deep down, but denies she cannot live without him. Boy does the same. Both finally admit they are each others forever. Aaaaaand here we are. I'm sure I missed a couple of moments, but you get the idea.
On our way home from an anniversary trip to Portland Jeremy suggested we grab a bottle of champagne and head up to the top of the Issaquah Highlands to toast the weekend. The Issaquah Highlands holds a special place for us because before we were even dating we would take a drive up to the top and watch the sunsets or sit on the swings and talk late into the night. On this evening, when we made it to the top with our champagne and silly glassware we found a house being built, we decided to check it out and see what the view would be like once that house was completely done (something we have also always love doing when we went up there). While enjoying the amazing sunset in this barely built house there was a thud behind me and I turn around and there Jeremy was down on one knee holding the most beautiful ring in his hand and asked 'Will you marry me?'. Starting to cry I said 'yes' and it was a blur of incredible emotions from that moment on. After watching the rest of the sunset and Jeremy giving me some time to compose myself, we made our way down to the restaurant SIP and had another glass of champagne to toast the beginning of what we knew was without question forever.
